Can jeans be an excuse for sexual harassment? In 1998, the Italian Supreme Court Judges ruled that women wearing tight jeans implied a consent to rape. We absolutely disagree.
On April 24th, individuals in the New York City and Los Angeles area will wear this iconic fashion piece - denim jeans - in an effort to raise awareness of sexual assault violence
How You Can Be a Part of Denim Day:
-
Register online at denimdaynyc.org and pledge to wear jeans on April 24th
-
Copy the Denim Day link (see above) and share it on all your social networks using the hashtag #DenimDayNYC
-
Tell all your friends, co-workers, and loved ones about your pledge and let them wear jeans, too!
-
If you’re in New York, join with other Denim Day supporters at 12 pm on the steps of City Hall for the Denim Day Rally and Conference
